Why you Shouldn’t Feed Negative Emotions

Are your emotions getting the better of you? We humans are creatures of emotion. We feel things deeply. Sometimes, too deeply. But have you ever stopped to consider what your emotions might be doing to you? Yes. Our emotions affect our health. If you feel happy and optimistic then the effect will be positive. But if you constantly feel depressed and sad then the effect will be negative.

Many people today are so health conscious. They exercise, eat healthy and sleep well. But so few bother to work on their emotions. Others even take delight in wallowing in them. Do you often have feelings of fear, envy, jealousy, anger, depression and the like? Get rid of these emotions now. Or if you can’t get rid of them at least try not to focus on them.

Here are some reasons why you should not feed negative emotions.

Reason number 1: Negative emotions fill us with negative vibes. According to the law of attraction, like attract like. So if you are always negative then you will be attracting more of that into your life.

Reason number 2: Negative emotions stress us out. I mean- think about it. Being constantly angry or depressed is very stressful. Imagine bringing a bucket filled with rocks as you go about your daily activities. Stressful, right? They’re not only heavy, they are useless as well. They just add to your burden without contributing anything. Negative emotions are like heavy rocks that we have to lug around day after day. Can you imagine living like this for the rest of your life?

Reason number 3: Negative emotions can make us sick. Studies have showed that more than 80% of all disease is caused by emotion. Negative emotion. A majority of those who are suffering from heart disease are people that constantly feel anxious and worried. Remember that our body and mind are interrelated. This is why our feelings have such an impact on our physical body.

We all have our down days. It is virtually impossible to stay happy and positive all the time. But we shouldn’t dwell on our negative emotions. We should fight the urge to feed them. Happiness is not a feeling. It is a decision. If we want to live stress-free lives then we should make the decision to be happy and stick by it everyday – no matter what happens.

Start inviting positive emotions into your life. Attract good chi and witness a dramatic improvement in your daily attitude. Refresh your mind and reflect on your day while enjoying the sound of ambient running water on your patio or indoors.
